TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR NEW PRODUCTS

Protein_AProtein A/G 4 Rapid Run

Contains a mixture of 50% of Agarose Resin 4 RAPID RUN™ Protein G and 50% of Agarose Resin 4 RAPID RUN™ Protein A

Protein A 4 Rapid Run

designed for high purity separation of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies at the laboratory and process scales.

Both are immobilized by a covalent binding that avoids protein loss and allows reuse.

Institute of Organic Chemistry, CSIC

cesicThe biological glycochemistry group at the Institute of Organic Chemistry, CSIC, has been using agarose resins manufactured by ABT for quite some time.

The affinity resins have been utilized for the purification of a large number of recombinant proteins (Glycosyltransferases, sulfotransferases, kinases, etc.) to increase stability and re-usability. Additionally, with a wide variety of available resins with different functional groups, the ABT resins have been used for both ionic and covalent immobilization of low molecular weight biomolecules of medical interest (antibiotics, proteoglycans, etc.). These immobilized biomolecules can act as catalysts in a variety of synthesis reactions in an aqueous medium where conventional catalysts do not work. Our high capacity (40-60 m mol / mL gel) resins can assure very high biocatalytic activity saving time and money.

ABT announces the availability of a new 2 ml package size Cat# 6RRF-STV-2 for our Streptavidin resins. Streptavidin is a tetrameric protein containing four biotin-binding sites. Recombinant streptavidin is immobilized on a highly crosslinked fine beaded agarose designed to bind biotinylated biomolecules. The method used to prepare this resin is superior to other immobilization tech
niques providing higher binding capacity with lower ligand leaching. Read more

3rd Multistep Enzyme Catalyzed Processes Congress

logo MECP

Agarose Bead Technologies ABT is going to sponsor the 3rd Multistep Enzyme Catalyzed Processes Congress (MECP14) that will be held during 7-10 April 2014, in Madrid, Spain. MECP14 will be hosted by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) under the auspices of ESAB and of the Spanish Society of Biotechnology (SEBiot).

This conference aims to cover the broad field of multienzyme systems from the “simplest”’ system in which one or a few isolated enzymes are used alone or in combination with non-enzyme-catalyzed steps, to the most “complex” system in which artificial pathways are created or even whole cells are modified to be used as synthetic cell factories.
